Graham Day

Director

Graham specialises in disputes. He has a particular interest in family property dispute work, which may arise from separation, divorce, relationship property, trust and estate claims. He also undertakes general civil litigation, which can arise for example from contractual claims or claims in negligence. Graham is also part of Law North’s local government team and regularly works on matters for local Councils.

In his family property role, Graham especially enjoys meeting new people and helping them through difficult situations. The personal situations of his clients are all unique, each with different challenges which he will work to resolve. Graham measures his success in the number of his clients who resolve their issues without the need to go to Court. However, in the rare case where Court action is necessary, Graham will guide his clients through that process.

Assisting elderly clients through their legal issues is particularly rewarding for Graham. He is the honorary solicitor for Age Concern Mid-north (Kerikeri, Paihia, Kaikohe, Kaeo and surrounds) and a member of the Executive Committee of Age Concern Whangarei.

Graham is a Northland local.  Although he lives in Kerikeri with his wife and children, all of his wider family are based in Whangarei and he maintains a close connection to the Whangarei community. When he is not enjoying life at the beach with his family in the summer, Graham is a member of the Kerikeri gym and mountain bike club. He also likes to think of himself as an amateur historian holding a MA (first class honours) in ancient history from the University of Auckland.
