Disputes

Maori Land / Te Ture Whenua

Maori Land is a very important feature of the Far North. There are a number of issues that can affect the management and utilisation of Maori Land by its owners. This may include whether an owner is able to live on and use the land, how the land is accessed, and the best means of managing the land through the special types of trusts allowed by the Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993.

Simon Dominick has many years experience in conveyancing aspects for Maori land and acting on Maori Land matters, appearing in the Maori Land Court on behalf of owners.

The Maori Land Court in Whangarei encompasses Te Tai Tokerau, which includes areas from Mangawhai on the east coast to Kaipara Harbour on the west coast and north to the North Cape. Inquiries from the Te Tai Tokerau region are welcome.
