Employment Law
Employment law in New Zealand is governed by the Employment Relations Act 2000. This sets out the obligations of employers and the rights of employees to take action against employers.
There are two distinct parts to our employment law service. The first involves assisting employers and employees to enter into Employment Agreements that firstly comply with the Act and secondly achieve what is intended by both parties. Richard Ayton is the partner who should be contacted in relation to Employment Agreements.
When employment agreements and relationships go sour there is a mediation and adjudication process. Eddie Taia can assist clients in this area and should be contacted early in the dispute to ensure that you are firstly complying with the Act and secondly protecting your position.
The employment law is continually being fine tuned by the Government and it is important that all employers keep up to date, once again we can help you.
