Contaminated Sites

Recent legislation has placed obligations on landowners to proactively identify and clean up contaminated sites. This means that when you come to buy or sell a property or apply for resource consent to subdivide, you may be required to complete investigations about whether the land is contaminated. If contamination is found, you may be required to clean it up.
