Government considers repeal of gift duty, Jun 2010

Within the last few days, it has been announced that the Government intends to repeal gift duty if concerns regarding creditor protection and social assistance targeting can be resolved.

The Minister of Revenue advises that, subject to the above being resolved, the repeal will be included in a tax bill to be introduced in November this year.
